We all know the scenario; you’ve been sat on the train for 2 hours in a hot carriage where all the other passengers groaned when you opened the window (and which was promptly shut again). You feel incredibly warm and a little bit dehydrated and all you want to do is have a drink quickly before you jump on the train again. The only problem is that your next train is only about 10 minutes after you arrive at the station which leaves you with no time to nip to a cafe (knowing how the cafes can be clogged up by people who are having a more substantial meal. What you need is a place where you can be in and out within 5 minutes and not have to worry about missing your train.

Waterloo Station has a wide array of shops that are perfect for this eventuality. With a number of newsagents where you can buy a snack, drink or newspaper you won’t be caught short! The service is very quick and you can be in and out in less than 2 minutes if you know what you want. The station also boasts a number of cafes and fast food establishments if you want something more substantial to eat. At the station there are also other shops where you can buy a book or some supplies if you need to work on the train. WH Smiths is one such example and offers the chance to buy anything you could ever need for a train journey.
